Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting serving all age ranges, from infant to geriatric populations
  • Manage a broad range of complex and varied patient diagnoses within a high-volume ED environment (average daily census of 130, 47-bed unit)
  • Maintain a patient care ratio of 1:4, delivering timely and accurate assessments, interventions, and documentation
  • Float within the Emergency Department specialty as required
  • Adhere to all unit scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend and holiday coverage as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required (2 years preferred); first-time travelers with strong ER skills and experience will be considered
  • BLS certification – American Heart Association only
  • ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
  • PALS certification – American Heart Association only
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification and CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Two or more years of Emergency Room RN experience in a high-acuity or high-volume setting
  • Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated adaptability in fast-paced ED environments
  • Comfort with floating within specialty scope with no scheduling restrictions
