Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting serving all age ranges, from infant to geriatric populations
- Manage a broad range of complex and varied patient diagnoses within a high-volume ED environment (average daily census of 130, 47-bed unit)
- Maintain a patient care ratio of 1:4, delivering timely and accurate assessments, interventions, and documentation
- Float within the Emergency Department specialty as required
- Adhere to all unit scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend and holiday coverage as assigned
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required (2 years preferred); first-time travelers with strong ER skills and experience will be considered
- BLS certification – American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
- PALS certification – American Heart Association only
- NIH Stroke Scale certification and CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor) required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Two or more years of Emergency Room RN experience in a high-acuity or high-volume setting
- Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated adaptability in fast-paced ED environments
- Comfort with floating within specialty scope with no scheduling restrictions
