Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting serving all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
  • Manage a wide variety of complex and acute diagnoses within a high-volume ED environment
  • Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4 across a 47-bed department with an average daily census of 130
  • Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
  • Float within the Emergency Room specialty as required
Required Qualifications
  • Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact license at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience (2 years preferred); first-time travelers with strong ER background will be considered
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
  • Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • CPI certification – Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online vendor
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience managing complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations across all acuity levels
  • Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
  • Comfort with floating within specialty scope with no restrictions
