Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | 36/48 Hour Weekly Option | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting serving all age ranges, from infant to geriatric populations
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with a wide variety of complex diagnosesnas?l
- Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4 within a 47-bed ED with an average daily census of 130
- Participate in holiday coverage as scheduled and float within the Emergency Room specialty as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across all acuity levels
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience (2 years preferred); first-time travelers with strong ER skills and experience will be considered
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Current PALS certification – AHA only
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- CPI certification – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
Preferred Experience / Skills- 2 or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience in a high-volume, complex ED environment
- Prior travel nursing experience, particularly within a similar high-acuity emergency setting
- Comfort with floating within scope and adapting quickly to varying patient populations and diagnoses
