Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Rotation
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population
- Utilize critical care thinking and clinical skills to assess, triage, and treat a wide range of emergency diagnoses including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma cases
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 while operating critical care equipment and documenting within a Cerner EHR system
- Rotate float support to other areas within the scope of demonstrated competencies as needed
- Adhere to call requirements including potential push-back hours based on census
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS or ENPC certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Strong patient and family communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
- Energetic, knowledgeable, and adaptable clinical demeanor
