    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Float)

    Location

    Centennial, CO (Float Zone covering Denver metro area within a 60-mile radius)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Full-Time

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in Emergency Room settings across multiple facilities within an assigned 60-mile float zone
    • Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients based on acuity, including common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, NSTEMI, stroke, trauma, pneumonia, and hypertension
    • Administer standard emergency medications and drips; perform and interpret telemetry monitoring independently
    • Conduct point-of-care lab testing as trained and required by the facility
    • Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and respiratory therapy (available 24/7) to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
    • Adhere to scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday coverage; remain flexible to fill scheduling gaps across zone facilities
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
    • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
    • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
    • Must be available to float throughout the full 60-mile zone radius, including Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments with 1–2 hours notice prior to shift start
    • Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in multi-facility or float pool environments
    • Familiarity with trauma, STEMI, and stroke receiving center protocols
    • Comfort working in varied ED environments with differing patient volumes (40–168 patients per day)
