Key Responsibilities
Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting
Administer moderate sedation in accordance with department protocols and training requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQI BLS) certification from an approved vendor
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
AHA-PALS certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification and NCI and Moderate Sedation Training required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
