Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Emergency Department patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Alabama (no encumbrances)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
