Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center Emergency Department averaging approximately 25 patients per day
- Manage a patient assignment at a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity, caring for patients presenting with conditions such as abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
- Independently read and interpret telemetry strips without the support of a monitor technician
- Perform and document Point of Care lab testing following facility training
- Collaborate with support staff including techs, unit secretaries, and Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7) to coordinate patient care
- Float to other Emergency Departments within the regional zone as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
- Must be available and present in-state for the full week of facility orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience working in a fast-paced Emergency Department or trauma setting
- Familiarity with standard emergency department medications and drip protocols
- Experience in a mixed-acuity ER environment managing both medical and trauma patients
