Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | Rotating Night/Evening Shifts (19:00–07:30 / 15:00–03:30) | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
  • Manage and assess patients presenting with a wide variety of diagnoses spanning all body systems, including complex and high-acuity cases
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with the potential for up to 1:5 with lower-acuity patients based on department needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver timely, high-quality emergency nursing care
  • Float within the Emergency Department specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed
  • Adhere to all department scheduling requirements, including rotating night and evening shifts based on departmental needs
Required Qualifications
  • Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
  • Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor; may be completed during onboarding)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
  • TNCC certification
  • Comfort with floating within scope across multiple ED locations with no restrictions
