    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department setting serving all patient types including adults
    • Manage and monitor complex drips including sedation, vasoactive agents, vasopressors, heparin, insulin, pain control, and antiarrhythmics
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
    • Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 within a 36-bed emergency department
    • Float across multiple campuses as assigned
    • Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 15 months of emergency medicine experience; work history must reflect at least 36 months of Emergency Department experience
    • Recent Level I trauma experience
    • Current and recent travel nursing experience
    • Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification — documentation required
    • Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC), ACLS certification (AHA), and PALS certification (AHA) required
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Valid Driver's License — documentation required
    • Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department/Emergency Room discipline required at time of submission
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred; may be obtained during onboarding
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
