Travel RN – Emergency Department

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Day Shift) | Onsite | Projected Start: April 27, 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 4:1 (5:1 during surge)
  • Perform procedures including IV starts, venipuncture, port access, Foley placement, EKG, nasal wash, and point-of-care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip)
  • Operate GE monitoring equipment and document patient care using Meditech EMR
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, mid-shift RNs, unit clerks, and EMTs across day and night shifts
  • Deliver compassionate, competent care while demonstrating strong communication skills and a willingness to go above and beyond for patients
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with eligibility to work in Colorado
  • Minimum of 1 year of current hospital acute care Emergency Department experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC certifications
  • Proficiency with GE monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR (or ability to quickly adapt)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a caring, competent, and proactive approach to patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) certification
  • Ultrasound-guided IV (US IV) competency
  • Experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department setting
