Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
  • Administer medications and provide care for patients across all acuity levels (ESI 1 through 5)
  • Perform procedures including wound care, splinting, IV placement, lab draws, and urine collection
  • Participate in mandatory shift huddles at the start of each shift unless actively providing critical care
  • Complete required EMTALA training in accordance with department policy
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, triage nurses, unit secretaries, and technicians to maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with potential for up to 1:6 in low-acuity situations
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of emergency department experience
  • Level II or Level III trauma experience required
  • Current TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Demonstrated compassion, sense of urgency, and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN certification
  • CPI certification
  • Greater than two years of emergency department experience
