Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room / Med Surg

Contract | 36 hours per week | 12-hour rotating shifts | Every other weekend and holiday required | On-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in both the Emergency Room and Med Surg units
- Function independently in the ER setting and manage up to 5 patients in the Med Surg unit
- Float between the Emergency Room and Med Surg departments as needed
- Utilize computerized charting and medication dispensing systems including electronic health record and automated dispensing cabinet
- Fulfill 3 call shifts per 13-week contract period
- Adhere to facility dress code requirements (navy scrubs, no logos)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- At least 6 months of Emergency Room experience within the past year
- At least 6 months of Med Surg experience within the past year
- Active RN licensure
- BLS certification required prior to start
- ACLS certification required prior to start
- NRP required (may be completed on-site with approval)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC certification preferred
- PALS certification preferred
- Experience with electronic health record systems and automated medication dispensing
