Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Floating and call required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects, maintaining accuracy and patient safety
- Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning for safe patient care delivery
- Document patient care with strong attention to detail, adhering to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff, providing direction and supervision as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- Proficiency with EMR systems (MedHost/EDIS experience a plus)
- Ability to meet New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to assignment start (candidates must be submitted through an agency registered with the state of New Mexico)
- Availability for floating within the department and on-call obligations (minimum 2-hour call-in prior to shift start)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or trauma setting
