Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, full-service freestanding emergency center operating 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Assess, stabilize, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent conditions including chest pain, stroke, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, seizures, and pediatric illnessaccurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using the facility's electronic documentation system
  • Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate air and ground transport for critically ill or injured patients requiring higher-level care
  • Perform and assist with procedures including urgent care interventions, STEMI and stroke response, and pediatric emergency care
Required Qualifications
  • Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
  • Experience in a high-volume or freestanding emergency center environment
