Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Nights | Onsite | Every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) required | Every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency nursing care within a 19-bed ED/Urgent Care unit serving patients with diagnoses including STEMI, trauma, stroke, COPD, CHF, and sepsis
- Interpret cardiac strips independently, as no monitor techs are present on the unit
- Titrate drips including Propofol, Cardizem, and insulin
- Fulfill Charge Nurse duties as assigned, which may include taking patient assignments
- Complete clock-in and clock-out procedures at the facility each shift
- Participate in one day of house-wide training and one to two days of department orientation upon assignment start
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac strips
- Demonstrated ability to titrate drips (Propofol, Cardizem, insulin)
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current PALS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior Charge Nurse experience in an emergency room setting
- Willingness to train toward a House Supervisor role
