Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information on boards throughout each visit
- Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols and patient care standards
- Demonstrate AIDET communication standards and respectful, patient-centered behavior with every patient interaction
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing needs
- Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and interdisciplinary team members across triage, cardiac monitoring, and internal processing areas
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department; no floating outside of the ED
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or comprehensive stroke center environment
- Background in a high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 annual visits
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
