Travel RN – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Mid Shift (2:45 PM – 3:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors in collaboration with techs, unit clerks, and support staff
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and consistent patient communication and board updates
- Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling to meet department needs; block scheduling is not available for this assignment
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of total nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
