Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift (Travel Contract)
Location: Viroqua, WI
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 72 hours per bi-weekly pay period
Weekend rotation: Required to work 2 out of every 3 weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Holiday rotation required
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with acute and emergent conditions.
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to providers and interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital policies and standards of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic medical records.
- Respond effectively to emergency and critical situations.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
