Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the primary and secondary trauma surveys during resuscitations, ensuring timely, evidence-based care
- Run mass transfusions using the Level 1 rapid infuser and manage associated equipment safely and efficiently
- Provide OR assistance when needed, supporting surgeons and scrub teams during emergent procedures
- Perform advanced vascular access including IV placement and assist with central and arterial line procedures
- Assist with chest tube procedures, spinal stabilization, splinting, and traction as part of emergency bedside care
- Document all patient care and procedures accurately in Meditech
- Think and act quickly in high-stress situations, prioritizing patient safety and effective team communication
- Support unit operations during nights and weekends and help maintain readiness in a busy trauma ED
