Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 Emergency Department experience.
License: Valid Nursing License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (must be active and unexpired)
Must-Have: Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks. Must pass a telemetry test on Day 1 (85% or higher).
Description:
12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Two weekends in a four-week schedule period.
Every other holiday is required.
Must be willing to work two out of the three winter holidays, including days surrounding the holidays.
Preferred contracts are for 48 hours, but 36-hour contracts will also be considered.
Professionals residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be at a local rate.
Must be flexible with floating to other areas, including psychiatric and pediatric emergency departments.
Caring for patients aged 15 and older in pediatrics unless previous pediatric experience is documented.
Patient ratios will vary between 1:4 to 1:5, depending on acuity.
The department is very busy, with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients daily.
Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during assignments.
