Description:
Looking for a registered nurse specializing in emergency nursing.
The nurse will work in a Level I trauma center, a stroke center, and a pediatric emergency department.
The unit is currently experiencing high patient ratios ranging from 1:5-6, potentially up to 8 during peak times.
This role requires the nurse to have Level I trauma experience and be available to work weekends.
The nurse must have the required certifications listed above.
Additional preferred experience includes continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration, as well as triage experience.
The emergency department utilizes a 5-level triage system and advanced nursing guidelines to expedite patient care.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams is essential.
The nurse should be familiar with high-acuity patient management and various emergency procedures.
Modules and additional education may be required prior to starting the assignment.
Flexibility in scheduling may be necessary, including floating to the pediatric emergency department if needed.
