Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years experience required. License: Pending License accepted (Must meet requirements). Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Level I Trauma experience preferred. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias required. Experience with EPIC charting system is required. Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment. The nurse will care for patients across a range of acuity from minor to critical conditions. Ratios are typically 4:1, with occasional flex to 5:1. The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Nurses will be expected to draw blood and manage lines, among other skills. A focus on trauma care is essential, as this unit serves a comprehensive trauma population. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing behavioral health emergencies. Position requires dedication to teamwork and providing a positive example for less experienced staff. The Emergency Room supports a variety of patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Frequent engagement in triage duties is expected. All nurses must pass relevant competency exams as part of the initial onboarding process. The nursing role demands flexibility and the ability to adapt to the dynamic environment of the Emergency Room.
