Weekend Requirements
  • Every other weekend required
Floating
  • As needed, depending on unit requirements
    (within Pediatric ED or appropriate units as per competency)
Holidays:                1 winter / 1 summer Core Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
  • Deliver competent emergency clinical care following unit standards.
  • Perform direct patient care activities as part of the care team.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in patient records.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, care plans, and post‑care instructions.
  • Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including proper patient identification.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and professional practice standards.
  • Promote patient satisfaction through courteous, professional communication.
  • Support pre‑operative and postoperative assessments and teaching, when required.
  • Prioritize patient care based on condition changes and clinical needs.
  • Assist with Pre‑Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders and ensuring completion of necessary tests.
