Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years for seasoned RNs. New graduates must have 3 years of experience. License: Valid RN License required. Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS TNCC CPI (preferred) NIHSS (preferred) Must-Have: Previous charge experience (3 years) Travel experience required Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide care for all acute emergencies presenting to the department. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The facility operates as a Level II Trauma and Stroke Center. Qualifications include management of various medical conditions, including but not limited to abdominal pain, respiratory issues, trauma, and neurological emergencies. Candidates must have experience with patient ratios of 4:1. Charting is completed using a designated electronic system. Interdisciplinary support is provided by multiple services, including respiratory, pharmacy, and social services. Additional responsibilities include adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with the healthcare team. The unit emphasizes high standards of patient care and teamwork. Continuing education and compliance with certifications are required. Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments is essential. Candidates must be familiar with managing diverse medical equipment and emergency procedures. The role requires constant assessment and prioritization of patient needs.
