Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS - AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS Must-Have: - Experience in EPIC Description: This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The nurse supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordination of care with other disciplines is required while utilizing critical thinking, professional supervision, and independent judgment. The essential functions include collecting relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Analyzing assessment data is necessary to determine diagnosis and care issues. A comprehensive care plan must be developed, prescribing interventions to achieve outcomes. Implementation of the care plan, coordination of care delivery, and promotion of health and a safe environment are key responsibilities. The nurse evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifying patient outcomes or situations is crucial. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers ensures safe and humane patient care. Opportunities for learning for patients, families, and team members are provided. Health information must be conveyed to patients and families directly. Participation in discharge planning is required to ensure continuity of care. Delegation and coordination of healthcare team members' duties are essential. Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed. Safety and well-being of all associates and patients is a commitment.
