Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS & PALS are required. NRP & TNCC certifications are strongly preferred. Must-Have: General emergency department nursing skills, including but not limited to: - Assessment - Documentation - IV skills - Phlebotomy - EKG - Cardiac Monitoring - Point of care testing - Splinting - Critical thinking - Patient education Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The Emergency Department includes a 65-bed capacity, with separate areas for pediatrics and acute mental health. The department sees an average of 230 visits per day. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:4. Candidates must be willing to float as needed. Rotating shifts are required, including day, evening, and night shifts as requested. The night position does not rotate. Experience in general emergency department nursing is essential. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus. Strong critical thinking and patient education skills are necessary.
