Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting - Experience in a Level II trauma center and high-volume emergency department - Teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide feedback in real time - Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Description: The Emergency Department is a progressive and dynamic environment. It is known for teamwork and welcoming personalities. The staff enjoys serving a diverse community with over 120 languages spoken in the area. Patient ratios typically are 4:1 for medical cases and can go up to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Technicians are available to assist in various areas including cardiac monitoring and triage. Unit clerks are present during both day and night shifts. The documentation system utilizes advanced technology. Scheduling requires working every other weekend with flexibility based on departmental needs. No floating outside of the Emergency Department is required, but floating within the Department is expected. Patient experience is prioritized through respectful behavior and clear communication. A range of advanced skills and procedures are performed within the unit. Staff are expected to adhere to specific dress code guidelines, utilizing navy scrubs. Safety and training certifications must be up to date prior to hire. This position promises an engaging work atmosphere with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
