Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Room.
Shifts are primarily nights but may include some daytime shifts based on staffing needs.
The average daily census is 140 patients.
The nurse will manage patient ratios of 1:4.
The charting system used in the facility is Epic.
The role does not require floating to other units to meet facility needs.
There is no call requirement associated with this position.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
The nurse will work with a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Various interdisciplinary support services are available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Essential skills include management of acute conditions, administration of emergency medications, and triage.
Experience with standard emergency procedures and protocols is necessary.
The nurse should possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
