Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 5 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Must have recent EPIC experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required. Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. - AHA-PALS required. - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required. - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required. Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
