Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ED/Trauma Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: ED Experience required, Clinical competence and experience in patient care management License: Requires current Registered Nurse License Certifications: - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Trauma Nurse Course Certification (TNCC) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire Must-Have: - Clinical competence - Patient care management - Nursing theory - Nursing practice Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role incorporates essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. The position requires professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice typically acquired through completion of an accredited School of Nursing. Telemetry competence is also required.
