Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Active New Hampshire RN License required or eligible to obtain Certifications: BLS certification required, ACLS required Must-Have: Bachelor's degree preferred Successful completion from an approved School of Nursing Current, valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse License Ability to perform essential job functions Requirements for specialty areas as determined by specific disciplines Description: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team. They are responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process. RNs will be required to assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques. This includes obtaining past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. They will be involved in the planning and implementation of written care plans under the direction of a Physician. Essential Job Functions: Assessment: Able to perform standard assessments using basic equipment. Medication Administration: Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination. Communication/Documentation: Maintains confidentiality and is able to communicate verbally and in writing. Patient Safety: Able to meet established job standards.
