Experience in emergency care is essential. Candidates must possess a valid RN state license and required certifications. The patient age range includes all demographics, from infants to geriatrics. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 with lower acuity. Diverse patient diagnoses will be encountered, including complex conditions. The environment is fast-paced, requiring adaptability and strong clinical skills. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory as scheduled. Floating may be required within the specialty and other facilities as needed. The role necessitates competencies in a wide range of emergency procedures and interventions. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing critical assessments. Applicants should be skilled in managing patients with mental and behavioral health conditions, trauma, and various emergencies.
