We’re hiring a versatile ER RN for a Critical Access Hospital in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. This is a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy a mixed ER, MedSurg, and Swing Bed setting with a strong focus on geriatric and rural patient care.

Location: Turtle Lake, ND 58575
Pay:$2,300 – $2,500 Gross Weekly
Shift: 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)
• 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Radius Rule: 50 miles

Requirements

BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
No travel experience required
• Must be comfortable in a rural, multi-unit setting

Unit Overview

25-bed Critical Access Hospital
ER / MedSurg / Swing Bed Unit
1:8 nurse-to-patient ratio (team nursing model)
EMR: EPIC

Patient Population

• Geriatric & dependent adults
• Dementia & chronic illness management
• Post-acute rehab & restorative care
• COVID, wounds, diabetes
• Initial trauma stabilization in ER

⚙️ Responsibilities

• Provide care across ER, MedSurg, and Swing Bed units
• Administer:

  • IV medications & fluids

  • Blood transfusions

  • Electrolyte & hypertensive drips
    • Perform telemetry monitoring & interpretation
    • Support team-based nursing assignments
    • Deliver compassionate care focused on geriatric patients

️ Additional Details

RT Equipment: CPAP (patient-managed)
Support Staff: CNAs available every shift
Charge Nurse: Present (team assignments)
Orientation: 3 shifts

Scheduling

Every other weekend required
Alternating holidays
Block scheduling possible (on request)
