Floating within assigned zones is mandatory.
Description:
Candidates will work in a float pool capacity, covering various facilities within the designated zone.
Travelers are responsible for obtaining suitable housing, taking into account the requirement to float within a 60-mile radius of the region's city center.
Schedules are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance and may follow either a fixed facility schedule or Just-In-Time assignments.
Flexibility to fill gaps in permanent scheduling is expected.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required on an alternating basis.
Candidates can expect to treat a diverse patient population, with a range of common diagnoses including abdominal pain, trauma, and stroke.
Nurse-to-patient ratios will vary based on patient acuity, typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:5.
Teamwork is essential, as the registered nurse will collaborate with various healthcare professionals, including charge nurses and support staff.
All registered nurses are expected to perform Point of Care lab testing as required.
Candidates will be expected to read and interpret telemetry as part of their responsibilities.
