Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Driver's license required for submission Description: Candidates must adhere to a radius rule of 50 miles. Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any associated facilities. Registered Nurses are required to pass an exam during orientation. The exam is open book and covers skills learned. Candidates must receive a score of 90% to pass; failure will result in termination. Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments. Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to termination of the contract. The department provides care for all ages with various diagnoses. Aids, EMTs, and paramedics are available for support during shifts. Phlebotomy services are available for drawing labs. Shifts available include 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a. Weekend requirements include working every third weekend. Self-scheduling is allowed, but no shifts are guaranteed until the schedule is finalized. Holiday requirements are on a rotating basis. There are no floating requirements for this position. Requested time off must be provided upfront, with a limit of 7 days per 13-week contract. Additional time off will not be approved, including after submissions. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Charting is done using an electronic system. This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Please ensure all required certifications are current and valid. This role is within an acute care setting and involves serving patients in a trauma level 2 environment.
