The clinician will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves floating between units, specifically working in the ED holding area. Weekend shifts are typically required every other weekend. The expected patient ratio is 1 RN for every 4 patients. The Emergency Department is a high acuity setting, receiving numerous ambulance presentations daily. The population primarily consists of adults aged 18 and older, including trauma patients aged 15 and up. The unit supports a range of interdisciplinary services including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams. Special equipment used in this department includes Zoll and Phillips defibrillators as well as Rapid Infusers. Healthcare professionals must demonstrate skills in continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates must be prepared for potential floating between facilities and should adhere to scheduling guidelines.
