Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: License required to submit Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Recent Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience Description: The Emergency Room unit is seeking experienced registered nurses. Positions available in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities include managing trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes. Nurses will work collaboratively with ED physicians and mid-levels. There are designated charge nurses on each shift. Nurse assistants, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters will be available to support the team. Nurses are responsible for interpreting their own telemetry strips. Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. RTO requests need to be made upfront, with restrictions on additional requests during the contract. The environment is demanding, requiring candidates who thrive under pressure. Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails for patient care staff. A skills exam during orientation is mandatory for all RN candidates.
