- Candidates must adhere to a radius rule of 50 miles from the facility.
- Artificial nails are not permitted.
Description:
The role involves working primarily in a MedSurg unit with responsibilities that may include floating to the Emergency Department.
The typical patient ratio is 1:5-6, and common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and patients requiring physical or occupational therapy.
RNs are not required to titrate drips.
A charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment.
Nurse aides or patient care technicians are available, with a typical ratio of 1:10.
Shifts are scheduled from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend requirements of at least every third weekend.
Holiday shifts will rotate based on departmental needs.
Floating to the Emergency Department may be required for support.
The dress code includes navy blue scrubs, which are provided.
Unit-specific orientation is provided for two shifts.
The facility has been recognized for quality care and operates as a critical access hospital with a small, experienced team.
Candidates must be able to work independently and advocate for patients and department needs while maintaining a focus on quality and safe patient care.
Flexibility, adaptability, and confidence in nursing skills are key attributes for success in this position.

The facility has a cancellation policy in place for shifts.
The charting system utilized is EPIC.
A BSN is not required for submission.
