Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Evening Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of clinical nursing experience required License: Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Must-Have: Experience in triage, trauma, stroke, cardiac, pediatrics, IV skills, EKGs, and assist with intubations Description: Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. Delivers safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication. Leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient and implement individualized interventions. Includes the patient and family in planning and implementing care. Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum. Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in the patient’s condition and need for care.
