Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS NIHSS TNCC Must-Have: Ability to float throughout assigned zone. Experience with standard emergency room medications. Experience with common trauma and medical diagnoses. Description: Candidates will be expected to float within the designated zone. Floating roles require flexibility to work at various assigned facilities. Travelers must secure housing that accommodates the floating requirement. Nurses will be responsible for direct patient care in the emergency room setting. The average patient volume is 6-49 patients per day, depending on location. Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:4-5 based on patient acuity. Travelers must possess skills in assessing and managing patients with diverse medical conditions. Required certifications must be maintained throughout the assignment. Nurses will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care. Shifts are scheduled based on the unit's needs. Weekend and holiday work is required on a rotating basis. No home base facility will be assigned to travelers. Charting will be conducted using an electronic medical record system. Travelers will receive specific instructions regarding assignments and scheduling prior to their start.
