Responsible for the assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care. Ensures that nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner. Provides individualized nursing care and evaluates nursing care for groups of patients. Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records. Administers medications to patients and monitors for reactions or side effects. Records patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledge of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided. Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information. Knowledge of medical terminology.
