Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: 13:00-01:00 Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Required certifications and experience - Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality - Experienced ED RN comfortable with common ED chief complaints and care of trauma patients Description: This position involves providing rapid response nursing in an emergency setting. The unit has 11 beds with patient ratios based on acuity of 1:4 or 1:6. Nurses will be responsible for running point of care labs. They will also set up and adjust respiratory equipment for patients. Assistance is available via phone for any required tasks. Procedures performed include IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, and assisting providers with various ED procedures. Advanced skills in emergency nursing are needed for this role. The staff will have access to cardiac/vital sign monitors and all necessary supplies and equipment. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Nurses are required to work every other weekend and may float to other areas if needed. Candidates should be aware of the potential for frequent admissions to the main hospital. The facility is new, built from the ground up with modern equipment. There are opportunities to learn and stretch skills in operating bipap and ventilator equipment. The team is in the process of becoming fully staffed, and the position guarantees 48 hours of work per week.
