Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Level I Trauma experience required - First-time travelers not accepted - Clinical fit assessment required Description: This position requires a night shift from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend and holiday work is as needed. Floating to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit is required. The emergency department features 74 treatment spaces and a 3-bed trauma bay. All beds in the unit have telemetry capabilities. The purpose of the transitional care unit is to stage patients who have been evaluated in the main emergency department. Patients will remain in the care unit until their disposition is made. Nurses in the transitional care unit will provide inpatient-level care. Additional skills required include management of acute psychosis, arterial lines, and blood product administration. Experience in managing traumatic injuries and complex medical conditions is essential. Candidates will be expected to perform intubations, interpret EKGs, and manage ventilated patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with exemptions considered. Candidates should possess strong assessment skills and the ability to provide comprehensive patient care.
