Candidate must have active IL RN licensure. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certifications are required. The role requires the utilization of the nursing process and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in patient care. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, as well as standards of care and state laws. Documentation must align with established standards of care. Responsibilities include performing assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. You will develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician, including patient and family instruction. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities is expected, which may include shared governance. Utilization of clinical expertise to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care across other units or departments is essential. Critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience is necessary, with appropriate escalation to the chain of command. You will participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review processes. Holiday coverage is required.
