Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years in Emergency Department License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma Center or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma Facility Description: This position is an auto-offer. Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1. Position requires a current RN license that meets the criteria for eligibility in the state of Missouri. BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA, TNCC, and NIHSS must be obtained prior to start. Preferred experience includes trauma and pediatrics, high acuity in a busy environment. The emergency department has a capacity of 68 beds with patient ratios of 4:1, though situations may alter this. Daily responsibilities include assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups. Coordinate care with other departments to optimize patient comfort and healthcare delivery. Follow established guidelines and standards of practice in nursing. Demonstrate strong clinical skills and effective communication. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing situations are essential. Engage in physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and pushing patients as needed. Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights at all times.
