Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in an ER setting License: Required compact license or state license Certifications: NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years experience in an ER setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. A compact license or state license is required. No trauma level one experience is necessary. Travel experience is preferred, but not required. RTO for longer than 1 week will not be approved unless under special circumstances. Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted. Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. A compact license or state license is required. Experience in a trauma level I setting is not necessary. Travel experience is preferred, but not a requirement for the position. Requests for time off longer than 1 week will not be approved unless special circumstances arise. Local candidates residing within 100 miles are ineligible for this position. Candidates will be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Previous charge experience is preferred but not required. Candidates are expected to manage a patient ratio of 4 to 1 during shifts. Daily census averages 90, with approximately 250 visits per day. The unit consists of 84 rooms and has 100 beds. Candidates should be prepared to work on weekends with a requirement of 4 to 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. Compliance requirements include BLS, ACLS, ENPC (PALS can meet this requirement), TNCC, NIHSS, and other competency exams. Candidates without a valid license will not be considered for the role. Candidates must disclose any previous employment with the facility during the submission process.
