Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience Description: The Emergency Department is seeking experienced Registered Nurses. Candidates must be competent in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. A pass/fail exam will be conducted on the first day. Maintaining a sterile field is crucial for passing skills assessments. Flexibility to float between facilities is required. Nurses will care for trauma, burn, and pediatric patients. The department handles a high volume of patients annually and daily. Ratios are set at 1:4 for patient care. Expected duties include managing respiratory and medication needs, with support from specialists. Candidates must have required certifications and will undergo an educational review on lifts, restraints, and wound care. Weekend shifts are expected as per unit discretion. The department utilizes a clinical charting system. Emergency nurses will work alongside a dedicated medical team. Nurses will be responsible for understanding and managing telemetry strips.
