Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, PALS required Must-Have: Travelers must be comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult populations. Every 3rd weekend required. Preference for candidates with pediatric experience. Candidates must be able to care for ventilated patients and monitor procedural sedation. Charting experience in EPIC is required. Description: This Emergency Department cares for both pediatric and adult patients. Ratios are 1:4. Candidates should have experience managing dysrhythmias and be familiar with continuous IV sedation. Daily census ranges between 120-160 patients. This unit handles a variety of chief complaints, including abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and musculoskeletal injuries. Special equipment used includes a glucostabilizer and Level 1 infuser. Candidates should be prepared to float within the service line as needed. No local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius. References are preferred at the time of submission. Candidates must have facial hair that allows for proper fit testing, or will be required to shave. No medical marijuana cards are accepted. Candidates with RN degrees obtained outside of the U.S. may require extended licensing. Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as travelers. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of accepting another assignment are not allowed. A maximum of 7 days of time off is encouraged during the contract period.
