The nurse will work in a trauma setting within a teaching hospital. Previous charge experience and trauma level experience are required. The unit handles a varied daily census of patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available in various forms. This role involves working with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patient age groups. Successful candidates must have experience in managing dysrhythmias and special equipment. Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. There is no requirement to float between units. Candidates are expected to confidently handle the workload and patient ratios.
